What We Do

Sabbath School

A vital component to spiritual growth in the Christian, Sabbath school is a time where people can meet together and discuss what they have learned about God through their daily study of the Bible.  Weekly classes open to anyone who wishes to come and participate!

Adventist Youth Society (AYS)

The story of the Adventist Youth Society began over 125 years ago along a dusty country lane in Michigan with two young boys kneeling in prayer. Today that dusty lane has become a world-wide web of highways that links over 10 million Seventh-day Adventist young people in nearly every political entity on every continent of the globe.  The St. John’s Seventh-day Adventist Youth Society has joined this world-wide ministry and is seeking to reach the youth of the St. John’s area.

The Adventurer program is designed to support parents in assisting children with the challenging task of developing fully as followers of Christ in today’s world. The Adventurer program was created to assist parents in their important responsibilities as a child’s primary teacher and evangelizer. The program aims to strengthen the parent/child relationship and further the child’s development in spiritual, physical, mental, and social areas. In this way, the church and school can work together with the parent to develop a mature, happy child.

Community Services

In His earthly ministry Christ worked out a pattern for His followers to copy. He “went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed” (Acts 10:38). Christ identified with the poor and oppressed. As Jesus worked diligently to prevent suffering among all people so we have equipped our church to help families and people in difficult circumstances with basic needs.
