St. John’s Attracts World Speaker On Issues of Hurt, Abuse, and Addiction

St. John’s attracts world speaker on issues of
hurt, abuse and addiction

Author and television personality, Cheri Peters is coming to St. John’s to present her Life in Recovery series.

Cheri presents inspirational and informative talks on recovery from any form of hurt, abuse or addiction, and shares the story of her own recovery.

Born to 14 and 16 year old addicts, abused and unwanted, Cheri began using drugs at age 11. By the age of 13, she was pregnant, illiterate, and living on the streets of Los Angeles, California. Homeless and broken, Cheri did whatever she had to do in order to survive.

At 23, suicidal and strung out on heroin in a drug house, Cheri experienced an encounter with God. Her life changed forever. Cheri cleaned up, learned to read, attained her GED and began working in the health field.

In 1994 Cheri founded True Step Ministries, and now works with people all over the world dealing with any kind of hurt, abuse or addiction.

Cheri has authored two books, Miracle from the Streets, (her autobiography), and God Is Crazy About You.  She is also the host of a television talk Show “Celebrating life in Recovery” which broadcasts on several satellite and cable networks world wide.

Please pass this invitation along to anyone dealing with any kind of hurt, abuse or addiction, either personally or professionally.  We could all use some hope and inspiration.
